Getting domestic

Yesterday I made up a batch of blackberry jam. Only the 2nd time I've made some, but certainly felt more familiar this time (and wasn't silly enough to actually hold the jar while ladeling hot jam into them this time!). Just had 3 jars, but the kids are halfway through the first jar already!

I also had a pot of chicken stock going overnight that is now in the freezer for making soups.

Left over berries have been frozen to be added to smoothies etc (unfortunately some look a little red still, so not sure they'll be enjoyed).

The evening was spent BBQing with friends.

Today I was back out in the garden. Simon finished off the raised beds and I then filled them in with more soil and popped a few more sunflower seedlings in.

I repotted one batch of seedlings and sowed some more seeds direct into the garden (spring onion, carrots, lettuces).
