Walking by moonlight

Last night I got together with a couple of friends from our women's group and we headed out to our local recreation park area for a walk in the light of the fullmoon. This particular park is set down on the sand dunes - so loads of ups and downs and full of a lot of tracks. We headed out at 8pm and the night was gorgeous. The wind we'd had earlier in the day had dropped off, the sky was clear, and it was freeeeezing!

So all rugged up, we set off.

Not long into our walk we had a bit of a shock by seeing someone on a quad bike riding around with a spotlight on top, pull up in a lower paddock and start shooting at what we can assume were rabbits! Well, not wanting to be in the vicinity of that we took off down the nearest hill (off-track), but unfortunately got tangled in blackberry bushes. So once we'd detangled we continued on.

After an hour or so we headed down towards the beach and strolled along the sand. In the distance we could see a bonfire, and as we got closer could hear the drums. So we sidled up alongside and got invited to join in. We were handed drums and a variety of percussion instruments to join in the fun. After staying there for about an hour we headed off home.

A little night of fun full of adventures!
