Accidental discoveries

I was just wandering past the carrot bed this afternoon and decided to do a little more thinning. I was excited to find some cute wee carrots that looked totally edible and appealing. They were lovely and straight and we look forward to a bumper crop this year!

Enjoying some peas...

We grow those little carrots, and I enjoy them so much. They certainly don't taste like store-bought carrots. The flavor is much more interesting -- less sweet and more complex. Uh oh, I'm starting to sound as if I'm analyzing wine! Enjoy your harvest.

Oh yum! I hope I start getting carrots soon at my CSA. We're getting beets and turnips, so I have hope.

Yes, I'm getting very excited about this lot since last years were such a failure!

I'm jealous Nikki. I have made countless sowings of carrots in this garden over the last two years and harvested precisely . . . one.
